Xbox Series X Review

This incredible device consists of outstanding specifications, a dramatic load time, and improved general performance potential.

The gadget contains essential characteristics such as Quick Functioning, Smart Delivery, and efficient backward compatibility. Only the UI functionality and launch titles are missing.

The next-generation Xbox Series X is a lightning-fast system that is both quiet and efficient. That kind of performance was previously only seen in high-end gaming PCs.

It is not a gaming PC, and it costs $499 / £449 / AU$749. The gadget has a technically superior and highly efficient console, has quick load times, and better visual elements. Add to it a plethora of features that enhance the gaming experience.

Xbox Series X

In-game title scenario, the Xbox Series X crumbles. Gamers would be frustrated by the absence of ‘obligatory’ exclusive game titles or any fresh games that would pique their interest. However, the Xbox Game Pass compensates for this shortcoming.

A membership to this Game Pass gives the player access to a vast library of games for a low monthly charge. Although the Game Pass contains older game titles, many of them have been tuned to use the package’s technology.

Xbox Series X Review:

Design And Look:

The Xbox Series X has a straight upright tower-style that may also use horizontally. The gaming system is 15.1 x 15 x 30.1cm in size and weighs 4.45kg. It is cuboid in form and matte black, with a green color striped within the recessed cooling vents.

The trademark Xbox power button, placed on the top-left side adds to the design. A disc drive is positioned on the bottom left, while a pairing button and USB 3.2 port are located on the bottom right.

The back of the console has cooling vents, an HDMI 2.1 output connector, two USB 3.2 connections, a networking port, a storage expansion slot, and a power input port.

The console’s special characteristic is that each port has separate tactile indications that help the user know which port they are accessing.

The console sides are bare, with just a little Xbox logo on the left side corner and four rubber pads on the right side. The bottom of the console has a raised disc-shaped stand as well as vents to keep the device cool.

Xbox One X Console

The Xbox Series X console has a clean and streamlined appearance, and despite its massive size, it seems smaller than prior Xboxes.

Quiet Machine:

The silence of the Xbox Series X is one of its distinguishing features. Consoles often produce massive amounts of sound, but not with the Xbox Series X. On the home screen, the console emits roughly 30dB of sound – similar to a whisper – and when gameplay, it’s just a trifle louder.

During the installation of more substantial upgrades, however, the machine reported sound levels of 45dB.

UI And Dashboard:

The Xbox Series X’s UI and dashboard have seen minor adjustments compared to its predecessor. The UI includes a tiled layout that is supported by customizable pins.

It allows players to choose which applications and games they want to view when they turn on the system. Furthermore, the UI provides quick access to all of the applications, games, and chat functions, all in one spot!

The Xbox Series X gadget is a fantastic powerhouse, with an eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU that operates at 3.8GHz. The RDNA 2 AMD GPU, 16GB GDDR6 RAM, and a 1TB Custom NVMe SSD are also included.

• The Xbox Series X’s speedier loading times are a standout feature. It launches games and programs in a matter of seconds.

• The Xbox Series X’s rDNA 2 GPU also allows the system to aim 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, however, it supports up to 120 frames per second.

To activate the 120fps, the player must go into the console’s audio and visual settings and adjust the frame rate and resolution values.

• The Series X gadget also allows HDR tuning for effective gaming.

• The Series X device’s 1TB Custom NVMe SSD converts to 802GB of useable storage and 198GB reserved for system files and the operating system. Gamers may use the Data Storage Expansion Card to better use features like Quick Resume and game titles.

In general, there aren’t a lot of new Xbox Series X titles that are unique to the system. There won’t be either, since games must be playable on both the Xbox Series S and Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs.

The Xbox Series X and Series S, on the other hand, will include impending console exclusives in the form of Fable 4 and Starfield, as well as a slew of additional games.

But, in the meanwhile, there is a slew of Xbox Series X and Series S upgraded titles to enjoy.

Xbox Game Pass:

Xbox Game Pass has been available for a while, providing a simple method to obtain access to a spectrum of titles for a monthly fee of $9.99 or £7.99. It has made it one of the best deals in the gaming business for a long time now.

However, I would say that Game Pass is an essential companion for the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series X launch lineup maybe a touch limited, Game Pass offers a vast selection of new and old titles to enjoy on the flagship system.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Furthermore, many of them have Xbox Series X and Series S upgrades, implying that the Xbox Series X is the finest spot to play games you may have missed on the Xbox One.

For $14.99 or £10.99 per month, you can buy Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to Xbox and PC titles, as well as cloud streaming and save syncing across all three platforms.

It’s an incredible value I’d go so far as to say that Xbox Game Pass is the best offer in gaming right now.

Furthermore, a slew of forthcoming Xbox One and Series X titles will be available on Game Pass from the start, making it one of the cheapest ways to obtain new games.

The Xbox Series X Controller boasts a matte finish, increased tactile textures, and an ergonomic design for a secure grip and a pleasant gaming experience. The inclusion of the ‘Share’ button and the hybrid D-pad is the only difference.

The controller otherwise includes the same 3.5mm audio jack and extension connector on the bottom, a USB charging port and pairing buttons on the top, and the View, Menu, and Xbox buttons on the face.

The controller’s capability is greatly enhanced when used with an Xbox Series X headset to play Xbox Series X games.

Quick Resume:

The Quick Resume function distinguishes itself by allowing the player to rapidly resume play from a paused state. As a result, the player may resume play from where they left off without loading screens again. This function also allows you to swap between various games.

Smart Delivery:

This feature allows users to always have access to the finest possible games and versions of an Xbox game on any system. Gamers may easily get titles from the Xbox Series X on the Xbox One S and buy both versions of the same game title.

The Xbox Series X also includes a 4K Blu-ray player, Dolby Vision compatibility, DTS and Dolby Atmos support, the Xbox App, and Xbox Series X optimized games.

The Xbox Series X is an enhanced version of the Xbox that has a plethora of interesting game titles and handy gaming features.

Price And Availability:

The Xbox Series X, which releases globally on November 10, 2020, is approaching its first birthday at the time of writing. And it’s still hard to obtain.

Elden Ring – Xbox Series X

We’ve been watching Xbox Series X restocks for months, and most outlets are still out of stock. Unfortunately, semiconductor shortages are still occurring and are expected to persist beyond 2023.

If you do discover an Xbox Series X in stock, anticipate pricing to start at $499 in the United States and £449 in the United Kingdom. On paper, the Xbox Series X equals the pricing of the PS5 in those countries.

It is, however, more costly than the PS5 Digital Edition, which costs $399 (about £349). However, these consoles are often available in bundles with a higher purchase tag.

• A simple, clean appearance.

•  A quick resume option that allows you to pick up just where you left off.

•  With a suitable TV, you can play at 120hz.

•  Almost all games from every Xbox generation are backward compatible.

• Quick load times.

•  Expandable storage is available now.

•  There are no AAA launch games.

•  The stand is not detachable.

•   Overcrowding on the home screen.

Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X is the one and only Xbox that will rule them all. It’s a single system that can play generations of Xbox games and do it brilliantly. Furthermore, it will do so without getting worked up or creating a disturbance.

Sure, $499 is still a lot of money to spend on a gaming system that hasn’t yet shown any spectacular next-gen skills. However, I believe it is an acceptable price to pay for the technology you are receiving.

The newest AMD CPU and graphics technology offers a lot of power, and the satisfaction of launching games in seconds rather than minutes cannot overstate.

NBA 2K22 – Xbox Series X

While SSDs have been available in PCs for some time, it would be complex to construct a gaming machine with this much power and modern storage for $1,000, much alone half that amount.

I was expected to be disappointed with the Series X since there isn’t a single killer app or game to make it seem like a next-generation powerhouse.

However, since games now look so beautiful, we won’t witness the graphical jump seen on prior generation consoles. Rather, the Series X is all about making gaming simpler, quicker, and simply better.

With that in mind, the Xbox Series X is a modern-day triumph. But I’m excited to see what it can do throughout its life.
